This special event will take place on February 28th in the Jaffa Room (located at 155 Claisebrook Rd, Perth). Doors open at 7:30 PM, and the show begins at 8 PM. Tickets are $25 AUD per person. LIVE is launching a video contest to create the music video for their new single "Forever”. Friends of LIVE is giving everyone access to the footage already filmed, and we’re asking fans to get creative and make the new “Forever” video. There is no specific rules so let the creative juices flow! Just keep in mind that if you use footage that is not our property, that is copyrighted, or that contains others’ names or likeness without approval it may limit our ability to “officially” utilize the video.

We’ve posted the links to all of the video clips HERE. We’ve also posted all of the video clips on our YouTube web site so that you can view the clips before downloading them. These are all large files because we wanted to provide the highest quality files for you to make the best quality video! So please be patient since these files may take some time to completely download to your computer. We will post these clips for download until March 31, 2009. Once you’ve created your video, you should upload it to LIVE’s YouTube group page titled “Forever Videos.” For detailed instructions on how to upload to YouTube click HERE. While in Rotterdam LIVE took a day to shoot footage for the Forever video. But the band decided to do something different for this video. Rather than taking the video to completion, they decided to let the fans create the finished video. Very soon Friends of LIVE will be giving everyone access to the footage already recorded, and we’ll be holding a contest to see who can take that footage and make the coolest and most creative video from it! We’re still working out the details, but plan to launch this contest in early February so stay tuned to the Friends of LIVE web site for all the details!

While the WTC Twin Towers were falling on September 11, 2001, Live's frontman, Edward Kowalczyk, was among the millions of citizens watching the saddest breaking news in US history. A few days later, he appeared in an awesome video footage for V single, "Overcome" (3:51 mins), trying to give some hope and comfort with this astonishing ballad.

Ed, who years before that was #1 in the US with great selling albums Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi, would never forget those lyrics, those moments, those days... "Overcome" would become some kind of cure to ease pain.

"'Overcome' is interesting because it was on his way to go out in those days. Suddenly, after the devastation of 9/11, people went to the song for a sense of healing or a sense of just trying to contain the incredible emotion that was coming around that time. As an artist, I felt a lot of gratification in the fact that something that I wrote was helping people after the tragedy. The song wasn't obviously written for that event, but it had life in its own. I'll never forget those moments", says Kowalczyk by phone from Rotterdam.

"Again, we see that music plays a very important part in culture, specially in terms of healing in times where things get tough. I just feel very grateful for participating in that. I feel great. I've always felt that up to that point I've written songs that I was trying to go to a very deep emotional places, but after 'Overcome' I found a new way... I respected the lyrics much more".

"I think there's always room for faith, and more love and more hope and brotherhood. Music has an incredible potential for healing people in every way. Music, for us, is a celebration every night, so I feel like I try to do my part as an artist writing songs about unity and love".

Seven years later, what can you tell us about Barack Obama and the last US election?

"It has been an incredible election. Barack Obama made me cry. We feel very excited and very relieved, but also, we have a very challenging future with a lot of work to do. With Barack Obama, we have an incredible opportunity to come together. In him we have an opportunity for a new sense of world unity", tells Ed.

Live 'live'

Live has just released Live At The Paradiso, a spectacular 2008 concert in Amsterdam.

"Well, being in a band called Live, we figured it was time to make 'Live live'", Ed laughs. "Amsterdam was a wonderful venue, in Paradiso. It was an incredible night, incredible fan devotion throughout the Cd and dvd. The venue was actually an old protestant church and some years ago was converted into a rock venue. It's a great place, a very famous venue in Europe. We thought it was a great place to make this project. It's an incredible document".

"We are going to be promoting this and hopefully, after we get back on the road in 09, we'll be back into the studio for a full Live album. We could start recording next summer. Forever is being put out in the radio now".

"We still put the music first, we put our fans first. We are just a band that stick together and doing our thing and the fans are still very passionate about our music. We don't really miss those days of success. Every time I get on stage and I get to perform, I feel successful. I feel even more successful just expressing myself from my heart than I could ever feel after someone gave us a number on the chart. Our music and our fans are just priceless".

It’s official… the LIVE DVD will be released in 2008…and very soon! The DVD, entitled Live at the Paradiso - Amsterdam, will be released in early November (specific release dates and territories will be announced soon). The DVD includes seventeen tracks plus bonus behind-the-scenes footage of the band in Amsterdam. The CD contains sixteen songs with two new studio tracks including the new radio single, "Forever," and the song “Purifier” which features a guest appearance by John Popper of Blues Traveler. Enclosed are the track-listings for each and you can hear a sneak peak of the new single, “Forever”, on LIVE’s web site and MySpace page.

LIVE’s previously unreleased song entitled “Hold Me Up” will be featured in Kevin Smith's upcoming movie, Zack and Miri Make a Porno. The movie opens in theatres on October 31st. Although this song will be featured in the movie, it will not be included as part of the movie’s soundtrack.

Another Night of the Proms performance date has been added in Belgium. LIVE will now also be performing Wednesday, November 5th at the Night of the Proms in Antwerp, Belgium. Tickets are on sale now via Teleticketservice.com.

LIVE will be performing at the River Rocks Music Festival in St Paul, MN on September 20th. Tickets for this event are on sale now. Ticket prices will vary depending on how early you purchase your tickets, so we recommend purchasing your tickets early to get the best price! The LIVE show on July 15th will now be located at a different venue! The show has been moved to the Marquee Theatre in Tempe. It was a beautiful day out in ‘De Heeren van Aemstel’ Amsterdam, June 29th. Over a hundred fans from all over Holland and even some international friends came to the Dutch capitol to warm up for the upcoming Paradiso shows June 30 and July 1.

After the annual presentation of activities by the board of the Subculture of Live and a cover band on stage there awaited a big surprise for these die-hard fans: who walked by? Isn’t that.. yes! It was the guys from LIVE casually walking by to join in on the fun. They stayed for quite some time to give everyone the opportunity to take pictures, get an autograph and be happy. Stijn from Subculture of LIVE even recorded some video footage that can be checked out on YouTube. What a wonderful day. A perfect warm up for the incredible and unforgettable shows in Paradiso.. Wait till the DVD comes out!

On December 1st, 2007, LIVE performed at the 46664 World Aids Day Concert in Ellis Park, Johannesburg. Inspired by the vision and leadership of Nelson Mandela, 46664 is a campaign vehicle of the Nelson Mandela charitable organizations. 46664’s aim is to raise awareness of the global HIV/AIDS pandemic, as well as funds to support the ongoing 46664 campaign and the HIV AIDS projects it directly supports throughout sub-Saharan Africa. 46664’s project funds develop and support practical programs for the prevention, testing, care and support for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa.

At this concert, each member in the band wore a shirt with the number on it… and when they stood side by side it said “46664” for all of the fans in the audience to read.

This was a very memorable moment at this concert, and now we’re giving Homespun members the chance to own a part of that memory.

It’s easy to be a part of the contest. All you have to do is be a current member when we select the winners. We’ll randomly select 5 people from all of our membership files to win. If you’re a current member, and your membership does not expire before May 16th, 2008 then you’re already entered!

If you’re a current member who expires before May 16th, 2008 then you need to renew when your membership expires in order to be entered. IMPORTANT NOTE: please DO NOT renew before your membership is about to expire. This will only create a 2nd membership for you and will not extend your current membership further. You need to wait until close to your membership expiration date to order. When you order a membership, the expiration date is 1 year (or 2 yrs if you order a 2 yr membership) from the date of your order. For example if you order a 1 yr membership on April 19th. 2008, your membership will expire on April 19th, 2009. So please wait until close to your membership expiration to renew since there is no way to just extend the date on a current membership. LIVE has announced 2 more tour dates! They will be performing in Ventura, CA at the Majestic Ventura Theatre on May 30th. Tickets for this event are on sale now via Ticketmaster. LIVE has confirmed three more shows! They will be performing at the DC101 Chili cook off on Saturday, May 10th in Washington, DC. Other acts scheduled to perform at this festival include Chevelle, Deaf Pedestrians, Seether, Finger Eleven, and Staind. LIVE will be the 2nd last act of the evening. LIVE has also confirmed that they will be performing at Bayfest Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay, Oahu on July 6th. LIVE will be the closing act on the main stage at this festival event. We will post more on this tour date once we get more details.

LIVE will be performing at the Miami Homestead Speedway in Homestead, FL on Novmeber 18th. The performance is a free show to all attending the NASCAR race, and will occur prior to the race.

The newest tee available in the Friends of LIVE online store features a design based on an actual tattoo that Chad Taylor has on his arm. All 4 of the band members names have been added to the banners in the design. Be sure to check this one out!

LIVE has just announced that they will board the 46664 Johannesburg concert at Ellis Park next month. The last minute addition to the World AIDS Day concert on December 1 was confirmed today. The band will appear alongside the twenty-two other international and South African artists already lined up for the show, which is being staged to show support and raise funds for former President Nelson Mandela’s 46664 HIV AIDS campaign.

Confirming the band’s participation, Ed Kowalczyk said: "Nelson Mandela is one of the most inspiring and uplifting figures of our age. His tireless efforts to bring freedom and healing to the people of Africa transcend the boundaries of country and creed and speak directly to the heart of all humanity. LIVE is tremendously honoured to be part of this year's ‘46664’ concert."

As announced by Mr. Mandela on Monday of this week, fifteen of South Africa’s biggest artists have already come forward to join the concert alongside world artists Peter Gabriel, Annie Lennox, Corinne Bailey Rae, Razorlight, Ludacris, Goo Goo Dolls, Jamelia and Angelique Kidjo.

Live will be performing at the Arizona State Fair with Collective Soul on October 19th in Phoenix, AZ. General Admission Tickets are free with paid fair admission (on a first come first serve basis). CRANFORD, NJ---Live, one of the most enduring alternative rock bands of the past two decades, will headline Union County Musicfest ‘07---a free annual outdoor concert and family event---to be held on Saturday, September 15th at Nomahegan Park in Cranford.

Live, a York, Pa band that has sold more than 20 million CDs worldwide and is known for soaring anthems such as “Lightning Crashes,” and “Selling the Drama,” is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. on the main stage.

MusicFest ’07 will also feature concerts on the main stage by Roselle Park’s Beale Street Love (10:30 a.m.), the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and pioneer, Chuck Berry (12:30 p.m.), the Smithereens (A new Jersey based band featuring Pat DiNizio of Scotch Plains, known for hits like “Blood and Roses” “Only a Memory” 2:30 p.m.), and Fountains of Wayne (a pop band with New Jersey roots, known for their smash hits “Stacey’s Mom” and “Radiation Vibe” at 4:30 p.m.). A second stage, the LoveHopeStrength stage will feature performances by the English Beat (influential Ska rockers, 11:30 a.m.); the Old Ceremony (Chapel Hill, NC-based indie band, 1:30 p.m.); The Apples in Stereo (known for their Beatles-style pop, 3:30 p.m.); and The Alarm (Welsh rock band, known for hits such as “68 Guns.” “Sold me down the River,” “The Stand,” 6 p.m.). MusicFest is New Jersey’s fastest growing musical and family fun festival, and this year features two adult concert stages and a children’s stage, additional vendors and exhibits including Major League Baseball. Kids Kingdom, a traveling entertainment show featuring rides and amusements for children, is also featured. Food and refreshments will be available to purchase.

Also on that morning beginning at 8 a.m., the County of Union is partnering with two charitable organizations, the Love Hope Strength Foundation (www.lovehopestrength.com) and the New Jersey Citizens Coalitions for Cures to hold the Rock On! Walkathon to raise funds and awareness in the battle against cancer. All are encouraged to join and participate in this event, which concludes in Nomahegan Park at 10 a.m. A form is available online at www.ucmusicfest.com

In the event of rain, MusicFest will be moved to Kean university in Union on that day, but the Walkathon will go on as planned in Cranford.

We have some changes to this summer's tour schedule. Unfortunately, the shows in Ft Wayne, IN and Fargo, ND have been cancelled. LIVE has confirmed 2 PA tour dates! On April 13th, they will perform at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster. This show is a 21 and over show! LIVE will also be performing at Crocodile Rock in Allentown on April 15th. This is an all ages show. Both events are general admission tickets, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, March 14th at 10 AM ET via Ticketmaster. Homespun members: we’re currently working on setting up a presale for these two shows before the general on sale next Wednesday. We’ve come across an interesting web site link that has given us quite a laugh. This web site discussed a specific world record that was broken by Chad Gracey. If you’ve seen this you’ve probably wondered if it related to Chad Gracey, the LIVE drummer. We got the official word from Chad Gracey and he officially denies that this is him. We wanted to set the record straight, and give people a good laugh this Friday afternoon!

Please note: due to some words used in the article, this may not be suitable viewing for a work setting or for kids. Also, we have recently learned that this is a fake article and not a valid news article (Thank you to the fan who alerted us about this).

Fans of LIVE now have a chance to win a SIGNED LIVE tour guitar while also helping out a worthy cause! LIVE has signed and donated a Takamime Acoustic Guitar that Ed personally used on tours from 1998 through 2005 to the Friends of Gungi Raffle. Gordon "Gungi" Paterson is a highly respected engineer, tour and production manager who worked with many in the business. Gungi worked with LIVE as and engineer and production manager for many years. Gungi was recently diagnosed with cancer and has gone through intensive treatment, and the costs have been a burden on Gungi and his family. The “Friends of Gungi” site was set up to help ease this burden. There are a variety of raffle items on the site, including this signed LIVE guitar. Each raffle entry costs $10, and is payable via Paypal (a secure, online payment service). The raffle will end when 1500 entries have been received or on April 30, 2007 (whichever comes first). LIVE has confirmed 2 more tour dates! They will be performing on March 29th at Jannus Landing in St. Petersburg, FL. This is a general admission show, and goes on sale Friday (2/23) to the public through Musictoday. We have some more exciting tour news! First of all, we confirmed another tour date! LIVE will be performing at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ on June 7th. Tickets for this event are $38 in advance or $40 on the day of the show, and they go on sale to the general public on February 23rd. We're working on trying to get a Homespun member presale set up for this, and will let members know if we are able to get one set up!

Also, we were able to set up a presale for the 6/6 show at the Innsbrook Pavilion in Glen Allen, VA. We have general admission tickets and also a very limited number of Gold Circle seats available. The Gold Circle tickets are are in a reserved section but are first come first served seats (no specific locations). This member presale will begin on Tuesday (February 13th) at 10AM ET. Members just need to log into the Homespun Online area to purchase tickets. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE CHANGED THE LOGIN SYSTEM FOR THE HOMESPUN AREA. All members will be receiving an email today (email will be sent to the email address we have on file) about the new login procedures. If you do not get that email, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can get you the information you need to log into this new Homespun system!

Chad Gracey and Patrick Dahlheimer - Music Supervisors for the Indie Documentary, The Downline, featuring 13 original songs, 7 of them by Chad and Patrick
From April 2005 through September 2006 Producer/Director, Eric Martinis, set out to make a documentary about the wacky world of the Multi Level Marketing business (MLM). The Downline is a documentary that traces the roots of the business and follows four distributors as they make a go at a brand new MLM upstart. The Downline features wonderful animation, old film strips, 16mm educational films and original music from Chad Gracey and Patrick Dahlheimer of the multi platinum selling band, Live. The Downline was also edited by Aurora Film and Music, which Chad Taylor is one of the Principal owners of. Chad and Patrick are credited as the Music Supervisors. They both jumped in full force on the project and ended up doing all of the music supervision for the film, including recording 7 original songs.

The Downline will premiere at the fourth annual PARK CITY FILM MUSIC FESTIVAL, which will be held in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, January 23-28, 2007. Chad and Patrick will be conducting a seminar for the festival about their experience working on the film on Friday, January 26th at 3pm.

Tomorrow's LIVE show in Albuquerque, NM has changed venues!! It is now going to be held at the Sunshine Theatre which is located at 120 Central Ave SW in Downtown Albuquerque. We have set up a Homespun member exclusive general admission ticket presale for the HOB Atlantic City show which begins tomorrow at Noon ET and runs until Friday at 5PM ET. LIVE has confirmed 2 more tour dates in the US! They will be performing in Baltimore, MD on November 16th at Sonar. This is a general admission show, and tickets go on sale Wednesday (9/20) via Ticketmaster. LIVE will be in Atlantic City at the HOB on November 17th. This show goes on sale Saturday (9/23) at 10AM. Tickets can be purchased through the HOB web site. Homespun members: we are working on trying to set up a presale for the Atlantic City, and will let you know if we are able to set anything up. A second Melbourne show has been added to LIVE's itinerary! The first show practically sold out in an instant, so LIVE has added a second show at this same venue on October 14th. Tickets for this show are on sale now via Ticketmaster.

We have more details on the Australia presales. For the Ticketmaster presales, you must be a Ticketmaster's Advantage member. This is free to do online at Ticketmaster Australia web site by clicking on the TM Membership button. The Ticketmaster Internet only presale in NSW is from Midday until 11pm (AEST) Wednesday, August 16, 2006. The Ticketmaster Internet only presale in WA is from 9am until 11pm (AWST) Wednesday, August 16, 2006. The password for all of these presales is MOUNTAIN so you will need to type in this password to gain access to the presale. Remember, there is NO PRESALE for the Melbourne show on October 13th.

For the Ticketek presales, you have to be a member of "My Ticketek." This is also free to do. You join online by clicking on the Membership button at the Ticketek web site. Ticketek Presale starts August 16th at 12noon local time and ends on August 16th at midnight local time (or when the presale tickets sell out). At this point, no password is needed to access the Ticketek presales, but if Ticketek decides to require a password, they will email it to all "My Ticketek" members.

We recommend that fans log on early to register as a member of these ticketing outlets so that they are already a member when it comes time to purchase tickets!

Texas Homespun members: Don't forget that the member ticket presale for the Houston show on September 29th begins tomorrow (8/15) at 10 AM CT. We have been receiving many emails and calls from Australia fans asking about the presales. The presales for Australia shows are NOT member exclusive presales for Homespun members exclusively. These are presales directly through the ticketing web sites. We were not able to set up member presales for these events. Also, please note that there is no presale for the Melbourne show on October 13th.

LIVE has announced that they will be performing in South Africa later this year! They will start their tour of South Africa in Johannesburg, where they will perform at the Coca-Cola Dome on October 27th. They will then perform in Durban at the Westridge Park Stadium on October 28th. LIVE will visit Port Elizabeth on October 30th to perform at the Vodacom Nmmu Indoor Sports Arena. Finally, they will make a stop in Cape Town at the Bellville Velodrom on November 1st. Tickets for all of these events go on sale today (August 1st), and can be purchased thru Computicket. Okay Texas Fans, we have news for you! LIVE is coming to your area! LIVE will be performing in Houston, TX on September 29th at the Verizon Wireless Theatre. They will then head to Dallas to perform at the Lakewood Theatre on September 30th. LIVE will also perform on October 1st at La Zona Rosa in Austin, TX. Tickets for the 9/30 show in Dallas go on sale Saturday (8/5) at 11AM via Ticketmaster. Tickets for the 10/1 show in Austin go on sale Saturday also via www.gettix.net. Be sure to check back since we will post more in the tour dates section about these events as we get more information.

The store's shipping office will be closed for a short time starting later this week. The Ahoy Open AIr show on July 1st has been cancelled. Live is instead playing their own headline show at the Rotterdam Ahoy indoor venue on June 28th. Tickets are on sale for this show from all regular ticketing outlets. Tickets that were purchased for the Ahoy Open Air Event are also valid for this show and will be due a refund between the old Festival ticket price and the new headline show ticket price. "Mystery," LIVE's 2nd single off of Songs From Black Mountain, has already begun to reach Canada radio. It will be added to radio station playlists in the US beginning May 30th. Europe (except for Holland) will also premiere "Mystery" on radio next week. Australia and New Zealand are still going strong with "The River" airplay, so they have not set an add date for "Mystery" yet.

"Wings," the 2nd single in Holland, has started to hit Holland radio over the past week. It is already being heard on Radio 3FM and Radio 538.

Los Angeles, CA – Live from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. the American Idol 5 season finale blew fans away with a surprise collaboration between the multi-Platinum rock band Live and Idol fan favorite Chris Daughtry. As a huge fan of Live, Daughtry asked the band to join him on stage for the season finale in a surprise performance of Live’s current single “Mystery” from their new album Songs From Black Mountain. Available now digitally for download, Songs From Black Mountain will hit stores June 6th.

American Idol viewers may remember the controversy earlier in the season when Daughtry performed a strikingly similar rendition of Live’s 2001 cover of the Johnny Cash classic “I Walk the Line.” As the criticism grew, Live lead singer Ed Kowalczyk praised Daughtry saying, “I thought he did a great job with the song. There’s no doubt he’s a talented performer and I hope he goes far.” Lending further support, Kowalczyk contacted Daughtry directly and a mentorship was born.

Live’s illustrious career has seen the band sell more than 20 million records. In their 15 years together they have had two Billboard Top 200 #1 albums – Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi. Five #1 singles including, “I Alone,” “Lightning Crashes” and “Selling the Drama” as well as nine Top 10 singles.

Wrapping up a U.S. tour this month, Live will begin a headline tour of Europe in June followed by a tour of the U.S. and Canada in July with dates to be announced shortly.

The 3rd LIVE podcast has just launched! This week's podcast features an interview with Ed, who talks about the song "Love Shines," and also sings the song acoustically! LIVE has also confirmed that they will be performing at Rock'N the Rally in Sturgis, SD on August 8th. The festival will take place at the Glencoe Camp Resort, and you can find more information on their web site. Tickets will go on sale shortly for this event.

The Friends of LIVE office will be closed from April 27th thru May 7th. It will reopen on May 8th. What could be better than some great music or some baseball? How about a little bit of both! MLB.com has announced that LIVE is the MLB.com artist of the month! MLB.com is a very prominent web site. They get almost 2 billion visitors a year! MLB.com will feature 30 second audio clips of 5 tracks from LIVE's upcoming "Songs From Black Mountain" CD. They will also have a "Songs From Black Mountain" preorder offer. If you preorder the album through MLB.com, it will unlock 4 exclusive videos of Ed's in studio performance at MLB.COM. At this in-studio Ed is planning on performing an all acoustic cover of Johnny Cash's "Walk The Line." LIVE has confirmed 3 more dates. LIVE will be performing on April 21st at University at Buffalo's Spring Fest 2006 in Buffalo, NY. Other acts will include Lady Peace, Live, Robert Randolph, and the winner of their Local Battle Of the Bands contest. Tickets are now on sale for this event via tickets.com. LIVE will also be performing at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, RI on April 22nd. Tickets for this event go on sale on Wednesday (4/5) via Ticketmaster.

LIVE will also be performing at Fillmore in San Francisco, CA on May 23rd. Tickets for this event go on sale to the general public on April 9th, but we will be holding a member presale for this show! Members of Homespun can purchase tickets beginning Wednesday (4/5). Just log into Homespun and click on the link in the Homespun area to go to the member ticketing page.

We will also be having a presale for the 5/24 show in Los Angeles. This presale also starts on Wednesday (4/5). So members can also log in to purchase tickets for that show before the general on sale begins.

We've got some more touring news and Member presale ticketing information. LIVE will be performing at Avalon Ballroom in Boston, Massachusetts on May 12th. Tickets for this show go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 31st at 10AM. Tickets for the 5/16 show in Chicago go on sale this Saturday, April 1st at 10AM.

Homespun members can purchase tickets early for these 2 shows and also the 5/15 show at the Electric Factory and the 5/20 show at Suede in Park City, UT. We will have a member presale for all 4 of these shows beginning Wednesday, March 29th at Noon (local venue time zone). The flight from Chicago to Harrisburg, Pa., on Sunday afternoon was carrying 37 passengers and three crew members. The plane returned to O'Hare about 40 minutes after its 1 p.m. takeoff, said United spokesman Jeff Green. It landed safely, and there were no reports of injuries, he said.

Passengers who arrived at Harrisburg International Airport said they were not told the nature of the problem that forced the landing.

"No one knew anything," Chad Taylor, Live's lead guitarist, told The Patriot-News of Harrisburg.

Taylor, bassist Patrick Dahlheimer, rhythm guitarist Adam Kowalczyk, assistant manager Matt Gracey and road crew member Shawn Williams were returning to Pennsylvania after a show Saturday night in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The band, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard album chart with the 1994 release "Throwing Copper," had finished a nine-date tour of Canada, opening for Nickelback.
